As an Account Manager for our Consumer & Life Sciences vertical, you own your pipeline and your bookings, and you are accountable for the results you deliver. You will build executive relationships, personally drive complex multi-stakeholder pursuits to close, and move high-value automation deals across the finish line.
The right person is a disciplined, credible seller: someone who qualifies hard, maps the buying committee, and converts. You will sell custom automation solutions across Consumer Products, Food Processing, Aerospace, Agriculture, Automotive, Electric Vehicle, Energy, Furniture & Appliances, Logistics, Medical, Military, Recreational Vehicle, Transportation, and Oil & Gas. You will act as a spokesperson and advocate for Convergix within the industry and represent the company's vision, culture, and values.
Key Responsibilities
Own your number
  • Carry and exceed your bookings target; own your pipeline and the plan to hit it.
  • Maintain a clear, current view of your funnel at all times - know your opportunities, your gaps, and your close plan.
  • Drive pipeline health, quote velocity, and win rate as the levers that produce bookings; act early when any of them slips.
  • Take ownership of results; diagnose shortfalls quickly and put corrective action in place.

Hunt and close new business
  • Aggressively develop new business relationships with targeted prospects across defined CLS segments and applications.
  • Drive the full sales cycle from prospecting and qualifying through to close.
  • Develop and execute disciplined win strategies for each major pursuit.
  • Qualify rigorously using a structured methodology; map stakeholders and disqualify early when applicable.

Build and own customer relationships
  • Develop strong relationships with corporate, plant, and facility executives as well as maintenance, production, and engineering staff.
  • Translate technical capabilities into quantified business outcomes - throughput, labor, quality, compliance, time-to-market - and build a defensible business case alongside the customer.
  • Act as a spokesperson and advocate for Convergix within the industry; represent the company's vision, culture, and values.
  • Attend industry events and contribute to the Convergix go-to-market plan.

Drive process and rigor
  • Engage the application engineering team early and maintain full alignment on process and value proposition throughout each pursuit.
  • Maintain disciplined CRM hygiene to track activity, pipeline, and forecast accurately.
  • Participate in weekly pipeline and strategy reviews with a prepared, current view of your business.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential
  • 5+ years selling complex capital equipment, engineered solutions, or technical B2B services - automation/robotics experience preferred; equally strong candidates from capital equipment, industrial machinery, enterprise software, semiconductor tools, medical/scientific instruments, or other consultative technical sales environments.
  • Proven track record leading complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles (12+ months, six- to eight-figure deals) involving engineering, operations, quality, finance, and executive buyers.
  • Strong business acumen; translates technical capabilities into quantified business outcomes and builds a defensible business case alongside the customer.
  • Skilled at discovery-led, consultative selling; qualifies rigorously, maps stakeholders, and disqualifies early when applicable.
  • Technical aptitude to learn our solutions, qualify opportunities credibly, and collaborate effectively with internal engineering teams.
  • Comfortable presenting to and negotiating with plant leadership through C-suite; shifts register from operational detail to executive financial conversation.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record of closing $1M+ projects.
  • High integrity; committed to delivering Convergix's values to customers.
  • Established network of business contacts and clients in Consumer and/or Life Sciences manufacturing or automation.

  • Reliable transportation and an ability to travel 50% + within US and Canada

Desirable

  • Entrepreneurial Spirit with the mindset of customer success and a high degree of passion
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias toward customer success and a relentless drive to win.
