The State University of New York (SUNY) is seeking a highly organized and self-directed individual to help lead a grant-funded effort to connect SUNY undergraduate students to internships in Artificial Intelligence. This individual will help cement industry partnerships and ultimately secure paid internship placements. The position is based in Albany, NY and will report to the Director of Internships and Employer Partnerships.

This position length is anticipated to be 24 months. Job Duties and Responsibilities: - Under the general direction of the Director for Internships and Employer partnerships, manage and build out a grant focused on connecting SUNY undergraduate students to micro-credentials and internships. - Develop and maintain partnerships with employers in the artificial intelligence and technology sectors to expand internship opportunities for SUNY students.

- Conduct outreach to businesses, industry associations, and workforce partners to secure paid AI internship placements. - Collaborate with SUNY campuses statewide to identify qualified student candidates and facilitate internship matching. - Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support grant objectives, events, and promotional activities.

- Lead the compilation, and ensure accuracy of, reporting materials from various sources. - Leader project coordination, communication, data collection/reporting, evaluation and preparation of written and electronic materials and reports. - Travel in support of project activities and events (approximately 10% across NYS).

- Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree and at least two years of Human Resources, workforce development, program management or related experience or Associate Degree and at least four years of Human Resources, workforce development, program management or related experience. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Ability to be flexible, positive, take initiative, prioritize tasks and demonstrate good judgment. - Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing, and presentation skills. Preferred Qualifications: - Strong connections with the tech industry in New York State.

- Strong background in AI use and implementation across various industry sectors. - Project management experience. - Familiarity with project reporting and tracking.

- Experience with grant programs, planning, reporting and evaluation. Additional Comments Additional Information: - Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. VISA sponsorship is NOT available for this position.

- Salary is dependent on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, education, training, and certifications. The range for this position is $65,000-$85,000 annually. - The posted salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for this position.

Individual starting salaries are determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity. While the full range is provided for transparency, starting salaries generally fall near the entry to midpoint of the range. Salaries at or near the top of the range are rare and reserved for candidates who exceptionally exceed all posted requirements.

- State Title: Senior Staff Assistant (SL-3) and is part of the United University Professions Union. - Occasional travel within New York state and out-of-state and non-traditional hours required. - Excellent Benefit Package which includes: NYS health insurance, free dental and vision coverage, competitive retirement options, tuition assistance, parental leave at full pay, and generous vacation, sick, and holiday time.
