POSITION SUMMARY

The Graphic Designer & Brand Creative is a hands-on, senior-level individual contributor responsible for owning all visual brand output across digital, print, and physical product channels. This role drives end-to-end design production—from concept through print-ready delivery—spanning product packaging, label systems, email marketing campaigns, social media content, ecommerce merchandising, and brand collateral for Gold Spectrum CBD and its sister brand, The Smoky Grass Station. This is a build-it-all role. You will be the sole creative resource designing product packaging that ships to retail shelves, shooting and retouching product photography, managing visual content on a live Shopify storefront, and producing compliant marketing assets in a regulated industry. If you want ownership and variety over a narrow lane, this is the seat.

  • Build and maintain production-ready label files with dielines, regulatory panels, bleed, CMYK color specifications, and vendor-specific print specs
  • Coordinate with print vendors and co-packers to ensure artwork meets mechanical and material requirements

Brand Design & Collateral

  • Create all visual assets including digital ads, social media graphics, email templates, print materials, internal brand collateral, and trade show assets
  • Maintain absolute brand consistency across every customer-facing touchpoint, evolving the visual identity as the company scales
  • Continuously refine creative templates, asset libraries, and design systems to support speed and scalability

  • Design high-converting email templates and campaigns within Klaviyo, managing layout, visual strategy, and optimization for engagement and deliverability
  • Collaborate with marketing on campaign calendar execution, A/B test creative, and performance iteration

Social Media Content

  • Create platform-specific content for Instagram, Facebook, X, and TikTok that drives audience growth, engagement, and brand awareness
  • Develop short-form visual content (static, carousel, and motion-ready assets) aligned to each platform’s best practices

Ecommerce & Shopify

  • Manage and optimize product listings, landing pages, and visual merchandising on the Shopify storefront
  • Ensure all active SKUs are supported with high-quality, optimized product imagery and lifestyle photography
  • Implement basic on-page SEO best practices for product images, alt text, and visual content

Photography & Retouching

  • Plan, shoot, and retouch product photography for packaging, ecommerce listings, and marketing assets
  • Maintain a consistent visual style across all product and lifestyle imagery

Compliance

  • Ensure all creative output complies with state and federal hemp/cannabis advertising regulations, platform content policies, and packaging/labeling laws
  • Stay current on evolving compliance requirements across active markets (TN, GA, SC, FL, AL, NC, MS, MO, and others as the company expands)

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate directly with leadership, marketing, operations, and cross-functional teams to translate business objectives into compelling visual solutions
  • Manage multiple concurrent design projects, meeting deadlines without sacrificing quality

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

  • Brand Consistency: 100% adherence to brand guidelines across all channels and materials
  • Compliance Accuracy: Zero compliance violations across all published creative—packaging, digital, and print
  • Asset Turnaround: Design assets delivered within agreed SLA timelines; emergency requests triaged same-day
