Co-op: An 8-month long opportunity, Co-op positions are a full-time employment experience. Co-ops are fully immersed into the worlds of corporate and production industry as a full-time team member.

Internship: A semester long opportunity, Internships positions are a part-time employment experience. With the opportunity to extend multiple semesters, Interns tap into the foundations of our corporate and production industries.

Co-op and Intern opportunities span across 18 of Bobcat's different functions.

Role & Responsibility

  • Develop tests to evaluate functionality and performance
  • Determine and test the necessary components
  • Determine loads / conditions to be applied (voltage, temperature, vibration, etc.)
  • Determine physical parameters and monitoring methods
  • Operate machines or simulators under controlled conditions
  • Record and analyze data
  • Build or rework prototypes as design changes are made
  • Set up and operate a structural fatigue test
  • Conduct specifications testing on a working model

Job Requirement

  • Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing in Agricultural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering
  • 3.0 or higher GPA preferred
  • Be able to commit to Bobcat for the entire term of the co-op (8 months) or internship (4-months)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of drafting software preferred (ProE/Creo or Solid Works)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Project management skills are preferred
  • Travel Required: <10%
