Ozark Aeroworks LLC (OZARK) is the OZARK Model T53 Engine Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). OZARK also provides full maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO)—including fuel accessories, machining, and welding capabilities, providing for fast shop component repairs. The OEM and MRO businesses are collocated in our Springfield, MO facility. OZARK’s primary MRO product lines include the T53 Engine, T53 fuel controls and governors, and Rolls-Royce M250 Engine (specifically the C47, C30, and C20 models). As the OEM, OZARK is a full-service provider of new parts, MRO, and engineering services.

OZARK is the respected leader of the T53 Engine, known for its overall MRO capabilities and high level of customer commitment. To help us continue growing, we are seeking a motivated Technical Publications Intern to join our highly skilled team. This position will report directly to the VP of Quality.

JOB FUNCTION / PURPOSE

The Technical Publications Intern will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience within an FAA-regulated environment while supporting the development, review, and maintenance of technical documentation. This position will support the Publications teams by proofreading, formatting, revising, and publishing technical documentation used in the manufacturing and repair of aircraft turbine engines. This role will provide exposure to document control processes, engineering collaboration, and aviation industry standards.

It is expected that this position will be actively engaged in the following:

PRIMARY ACTIVITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proofread manuals, procedures, forms, travelers, matrices, and other technical documentation for grammatical accuracy, formatting consistency, and compliance with company standards.
  • Assist in revising and developing technical publications in collaboration with engineering subject matter experts.
  • Support document formatting, editing, and publishing activities for internal and external documentation.
  • Review documentation to ensure consistency with established branding, formatting, and style guidelines.
  • Assist with document organization and revision tracking within controlled document systems.
  • Observe and participate on the technical editing and publication lifecycle within an FAA-regulated environment.
  • Communicate professionally with cross-functional departments regarding document revisions and updates.
  • Perform additional administrative or technical publication support duties as assigned.

  • Experience:
    • Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
    • Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat preferred

COMPENSATION
