Job description

Position Title: FusionPKG Commercialization Process & Quality Assistant

Department: Quality                              

Reports To: Senior Turnkey Quality Advisor                                                 

FLSA Category: Intern, PT

Location: Paramus, NJ (On-Site Required)
This is a part-time, in-person internship based in Paramus, NJ. Candidates must be able to work on-site and should reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the Paramus location. Remote and relocation assistance are not available for this position.

Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to support our Quality and Commercialization team in launching innovative cosmetic products. This part-time internship offers hands-on experience in product development, quality assurance, and manufacturing processes, ideal for students or recent graduates pursuing a career in cosmetic science, chemical engineering, or related fields.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Support Product Understanding:
    Collaborate with R&D and product development teams to learn about new cosmetic formulations and assist in documenting technical details.
  2. Assist in Commercialization Activities:
    Help the Sr. Quality Engineering Manager with tasks related to the commercialization process, including tracking project milestones and preparing documentation.
  3. Facility Visits (As Needed):
    Accompany team members on visits to local contract manufacturers to observe production processes and learn about quality and regulatory standards.
  4. Communication Support:
    Help facilitate communication between internal teams and external partners by organizing meeting notes, tracking follow-ups, and maintaining documentation.
  5. Reporting & Documentation:
    Assist in preparing testing summaries, production reports, and project close-out documentation.
  6. Lab Testing Coordination:
    Support lab testing activities for turnkey projects by scheduling tests, organizing samples, and maintaining records.
  7. Timeline Monitoring:
    Help track production schedules and flag any delays or issues to the Sr. Quality Engineering Manager.
  8. Product Testing Participation:
    Participate in product testing and validation activities under supervision to ensure product quality and consistency.
  9. Market Research:
    Conduct basic research on industry trends and competitor products to support strategic decision-making.
  10. SOP Support:
    Assist in reviewing and suggesting improvements to standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance efficiency.
  11. Risk Identification:
    Learn to identify potential risks in the commercialization process and contribute ideas for resolving challenges.
  12. Audit Assistance:
    Support audit preparation and documentation for contract manufacturer evaluations.
  13. Results Communication:
    Help compile and share test results and insights with internal teams and customers clearly and professionally.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Interest in product development and quality assurance.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
