JOB SUMMARY

As a Process Engineer in Ripon, WI, you will:

  • Analyze manufacturing equipment, workflows, and processes to improve safety, quality, throughput, and cost efficiency
  • Implement process improvements, update operational standards, and support Lean and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Select, validate, and implement manufacturing processes that reduce production costs and increase reliability
  • Evaluate vendor proposals and support new equipment specification, justification, and installation
  • Partner with production and maintenance teams to ensure equipment operates at likeโ€‘new performance
  • Conduct capability studies, time studies, and process development activities, including visual work instructions
  • Provide daily production support, troubleshoot process issues, and reduce scrap, rework, and cycle time
  • Specify and develop tooling, jigs, and fixtures; coordinate engineering projects and participate in Kaizen events
  • Collaborate with suppliers and Applied partners across northern Wisconsin to strengthen manufacturing performance
  • Support projects that impact communities in Ripon, Appleton, Oshkosh, and surrounding areas
  • Contribute to a dynamic environment that values ownership, innovation, and handsโ€‘on problem solving
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor of Science degree required in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Industrial Engineering
  • 4+ years of engineering experience in a metal manufacturing or production environment preferred; internships and coโ€‘ops may count toward experience
  • Strong background in Lean manufacturing, capability studies, process mapping, FMEA, and root cause analysis
  • Proven experience supporting production, troubleshooting process issues, and driving measurable improvements in safety, quality, and throughput
  • Ability to evaluate equipment proposals, justify capital investments, and implement new or optimized manufacturing processes
  • Creo and/or AutoCAD experience strongly preferred; previous 3D CAD modeling experience required
  • Experience developing work instructions, tooling specifications, and detailed process documentation
