Job Summary
Technical Systems Analysts serve as subject matter experts (SMEs) for their assigned applications, leveraging advanced technical knowledge within their areas of responsibility. This role partners with business and operational teams to develop technology-based solutions that address organizational challenges, goals, and strategic initiatives.
The Sr Technical Systems Analyst serves as a critical bridge between technology and operations, supporting caregivers across Community Health Network. This role plays an essential part in managing and guiding third-party vendor relationships, including participation in vendor technology roadmaps and feature adoption.
Sr Technical Systems Analysts apply expert-level technical knowledge to support and optimize IT applications. Core areas of expertise may include interface communication, data structure alignment across systems, database management, structured query languages, reporting, application server architecture, programming languages, application development, and hardware support. Applications supported may include, but are not limited to, solutions from the Microsoft Enterprise Suite, Oracle, SAP, and laboratory information systems.
This role also contributes through mentoring and coaching colleagues in IT practices, principles, culture, and initiatives and may support special project work using established project management methodologies.
CHNw Lab Solutions Support
This position will support the Community Health Network Lab Solutions suite of applications, including laboratory information systems and related integrations.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Provide technical expertise and advanced support for laboratory information systems such as Epic Beaker, RALS, Data Innovations, and NovaNet Point of Care
  • Ensure proper integration and data exchange between laboratory systems and hospital information systems, including HL7 interfaces
  • Collaborate with IT teams and laboratory personnel to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
  • Maintain system documentation and contribute to the IT Lab Team knowledge base
  • Monitor lab system performance and implement upgrades and enhancements as needed
  • Participate in the evaluation, testing, and implementation of new laboratory technologies and systems

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications
Applicants for this position should be able to collaborate with others in a team setting, have excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude toward problem-solving.
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field required.
  • In lieu of the above education requirements, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Four (4) years of experience in an Analyst or Technical Systems Analyst role required.
  • Experience supporting laboratory information systems in a healthcare environment.
  • Epic Beaker certification or hands-on Beaker support experience.
  • Experience with HL7 messaging, interfaces, and lab system integrations.
