Job Description
Provide technical support to the Bosch water electrolysis research team for electrolysis cell testing and characterization. The intern responsibility includes assembling test rigs, operating/monitoring electrolysis test benches, processing and interpretating testing results, and carrying out physical analysis. Additional responsibilities may include further development of testing methodology and/or further development of lab scale test capability.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Obtained or currently pursuing MS or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material Sciences or related technical fields.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Hands on experience with PEM water electrolysis testing hardware and equipment. This ideally includes subscale or short-stack testing.
  • Experience with electrochemical testing equipment.
  • Familiar with data processing and interpretation.
  • Be enthusiastic and able to collaborate in a team environment.
  • Curious and passionate about learning and exploring.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into simple to understand, communicable ideas.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with advanced characterization techniques, e.g., SEM, XRF, XRD, gas MS, etc.
  • Experience with script coding, data analysis automation and interpretation.
  • Publications to demonstrate past work in the hydrogen energy conversion field.

Additional Information
The U.S. base salary range for this intern position is $41.00/hr - $55.00/hr. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, type of degree, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, type of position, job location, etc. Your Hiring Manager can share more details about the specific salary range for this position during the interview process.*
