Job description

Java Backend Developer With Typescript

Location: Florida (Hybrid – Onsite once a week, Thursdays)

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Java-based RESTful services and backend systems.
  • Implement backend services using Typescript (preferably with Nest.js).
  • Work closely in an Agile team environment with product managers, designers, QA, and other developers.
  • Ensure code quality by following best practices, clean code principles, and robust testing.
  • Optimize backend performance (memory, CPU usage, scalability).
  • Develop secure applications adhering to OWASP guidelines and ensure compliance with security best practices.
  • Collaborate across distributed teams in different geographies and time zones.
  • Support on-call production issues and contribute to hyper-care support during release transitions.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5–8 years of hands-on experience developing backend systems using Java, preferably Java 17 and Spring Boot.
  • 2+ years of experience working with Typescript in backend systems.
  • Solid understanding of CS fundamentals, clean architecture, and design patterns.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, REST APIs, and Web Services (SOAP & REST).
  • Familiarity with networking concepts like HTTP protocol and socket connections.
  • Experience with performance tuning and software optimization.
  • Strong exposure to security standards and OWASP compliance.
Soft Skills & Other Requirements:
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
