About the Role:

The Materials Intern will support the Materials and Supply Chain team in maintaining efficient material flow throughout the facility. This hands-on role provides exposure to inventory management, logistics, production support, and continuous improvement activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The intern will assist with tracking materials, analyzing material movement, maintaining accurate inventory records, supporting launch activities, and identifying opportunities to improve material flow, space utilization, and operational efficiency. This position offers valuable experience working with ERP and warehouse management systems, inventory control processes, and cross-functional teams while contributing to the successful execution of daily plant operations.

What You Will Do:

  • Identify any packing discrepancies.
  • Identify and communicate space constraint issues.
  • Input into Excel spreadsheets the material flow of every part.
  • Optimize material flow of every part.
  • Assist with inventory management activities.
  • Receive and process incoming materials.
  • Utilize scan guns to track and manage material movements.
  • Process material transactions in ERP and WMS systems.
  • Support MGO and AMTS activities.
  • Monitor material flow throughout the facility.
  • Perform audits and cycle counts.
  • Support launch builds and related material activities.
  • Track and communicate the status of assigned tasks and projects.
  • All other duties assigned.

What You Need To Be Successful:

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college, at least fourth year student
  • Minimum cumulative GPA average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

Education:

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Admin, Business management, or related field

Travel:

  • None
