Job Summary

MGB is hiring a Student Intern!
Working on the international team, the student will perform comprehensive duties in the International Patient Center that support the needs of the International patients across our MGB population, this patient population is critical to our mission.
This opportunity gives you insight into our department and a variety to increase your skills and experience in a healthcare role.
What You'll Do
1. Triage incoming inquiries in various mediums, while providing assistance to walk-ins and telephone inquiries.
2. Meet and greets patients and their families, providing individualized attention to patients' needs.
3. Perform patient registration, ensuring accuracy of international demographics and financial data elements in the Hospital registration systems
4. Assist with special projects, including research and collecting data and interviews regarding national and international health providers.
5. Assist with data analysis for metrics.
6. Send out routine communication emails in regards to visitors
7. All other duties as assigned


Qualifications

JP101882 - Student Intern, High School Student

  • Currently enrolled in High School
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills in order to assist both internal and external partners and potential partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and the ability to sustain ongoing relationships with colleagues and to work collaboratively as a member of a team.
  • Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail and adhering to deadlines.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to protect the privacy of individuals and the confidentiality of employee and applicant information.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work well independently or with others. Requires the ability to remain flexible in order to handle and prioritize work from various department staff.

JP205535 - Student Intern, College Student

  • High School Diploma completed, required
  • Currently enrolled in undergraduate program
  • Ideal student is a rising sophomore or above in BA/ BS program, accredited College
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills in order to assist both internal and external partners and potential partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and the ability to sustain ongoing relationships with colleagues and to work collaboratively as a member of a team.
  • Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail and adhering to deadlines.

  • M-F 8am-5pm Eastern Business Hours; must be flexible based on business needs and flexibility for student intern and department
  • Ideal schedule will be shared before day 1
  • Minimum 12 hours per week required, prefer 30-40 hours per week i.e., 4-hrs/day x 3 days a week or 3hrs/day for 4 days
