Finance/Accounting Support Intern

Swift Textile Metalizing (STM) is seeking a Finance/Accounting Support Intern to assist our Finance and Accounting team with a combination of administrative and basic accounting-related responsibilities. This role is primarily focused on supporting day-to-day office operations while providing exposure to core finance and accounting functions.

This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in a professional office setting while building a foundational understanding of finance and accounting.

About STM: Swift Textile Metalizing develops advanced conductive and metallized fabrics used across aerospace, defense, medical, and industrial applications. Our team is dedicated to craftsmanship, problem solving, and producing materials that meet strict performance standards. STM offers a collaborative environment where innovation and hands-on expertise thrive.

This internship is for Summer semester and is expected to run from Monday 6/1/2026- Friday 8/28/2026 (12 weeks) and will require 20-30 hours of availability per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the finance and accounting team, including filing, data entry, document preparation, and general office coordination
  • Answer and screen incoming calls and correspondence, directing inquiries appropriately
  • Maintain office supplies by monitoring inventory levels, placing orders, and verifying receipt
  • Enter vendor invoices and process payments.
  • Billing customers and posting cash.
  • Operate standard office equipment and troubleshoot minor issues or coordinate service as needed
  • Assist with basic accounting support tasks such as data entry, expense tracking, and invoice processing support
  • Support month-end close activities by organizing documentation and assisting with financial data preparation
  • Help maintain accurate records and gather documentation for audits and reporting
  • Assist with data validation and cleanup in Excel or ERP systems
  • Collaborate with team members on ad hoc administrative, finance, and accounting projects
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred, not required)
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Willingness to learn and contribute in a team-oriented environment

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles
  • Previous internship or office experience
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Epicor, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.)
