Job description

Responsibilities

The HR Business Partner for Related Ross will be based in the firm’s West Palm Beach headquarters, reporting to Related’s Head of HR Business Partnering (based in NYC).  The HRBP will serve as a key on-site HR partner, responsible for delivering high-impact support across the employee lifecycle. This role will lead onboarding, employee relations, campus recruitment, intern programming, and employee engagement initiatives for the approximately 200 employee population, and will liaise with Related’s corporate HR team based in NY. The position requires sound judgment and discretion, and the ability to balance strategic priorities with day-to-day execution.

We’ll trust you to:

Onboarding & New Hire Integration

  • Take point on the onboarding process for all employees, including conducting new hire orientation and cultivating an impactful first-day experience.
  • Ensure compliance with employment documentation, I-9 verification, and policy acknowledgments.
  • Partner with hiring managers to create structured onboarding plans that accelerate time-to-productivity.
  • Continuously refine onboarding workflows to improve employee experience and operational efficiency.

Employee Relations

  • Coach and counsel managers and employees on all employee issues; identify and clarify problems, evaluate potential solutions and implement course of action
  • Mediate and resolve employee relations issues; conduct investigations and recommend resolutions
  • Improve manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems; evaluating potential solutions; implementing selected solution; coaching and counseling managers and employees.
  • Navigate sensitive and confidential issues, leverage Corporate HR legal and ER resources and to minimize risk in today’s changing legal environment

Campus Recruitment

  • Lead campus recruiting strategy, including university relationship management, career fairs, and interview coordination.
  • Develop and execute annual campus recruitment plans aligned with workforce needs.
  • Partner with hiring managers to define intern and entry-level hiring criteria.
  • Track and report on recruitment metrics, pipeline health, and conversion rates.

Intern Program Management

  • Design and manage a structured internship program, including orientation, project alignment, and mentorship pairing.
  • Coordinate intern programming such as learning sessions, networking events, and executive exposure opportunities.
  • Facilitate performance evaluations and feedback processes for interns and managers.
  • Drive intern engagement and measure program effectiveness.

Employee Engagement & Culture

  • Lead local employee engagement initiatives, events, and recognition programs.
  • Partner with leadership to analyze engagement survey results and develop action plans.
  • Foster a high-performance culture through consistent communication and employee involvement.

Corporate HR Liaison

  • Act as the primary interface between the local office and Corporate HR (e.g., Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, HRIS, Compliance).
  • Communicate local needs and feedback to Corporate HR to inform broader strategy.
  • Support roll-out of company-wide HR initiatives, including benefits open enrollment, performance cycles, and policy updates.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of relevant HR experience, particularly in a generalist capacity
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Mature professional with excellent judgment and intuitive interpersonal skills
  • Highly entrepreneurial, self-motivated and results-oriented individual
  • Superior communication skills:
    • Ease in working with people up and down the organization hierarchy
    • Naturally adaptive to different audiences
    • Diplomatically assertive
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to manage discreet, confidential matters
