Job description

Join the Oklahoma City Thunder as a Graphic Design Intern and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced sports and entertainment environment. As part of the Thunder's in-house Marketing and Graphic Design team, interns will contribute to a variety of branding, marketing, and creative projects that support departments across the organization. This internship is designed for students interested in pursuing careers in graphic design, sports marketing, or creative services.
The Fall internship program runs from August 24th, 2026, through December 4th, 2026. Interns will have access to professional development workshops, networking opportunities, resume reviews, and other activities designed to enrich their experience. Program perks include paid downtown parking and tickets to a Thunder home game during the season!
In this role you will:
  • Design and produce team-related assets in print and digital spaces, including ads, sales collateral, animation, posters, digital graphics, invitations, etc
  • Assist with maintaining and establishing design department policies
  • Stay connected with new design trends, techniques and technology
  • Participate in company-scheduled internship program activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What you'll bring to the role:
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and eligible to receive course credit for the internship
  • Students pursuing a degree in graphic design/fine art preferred
  • Possess an understanding of various printing methods and the steps by which digital artwork becomes a printed page
  • Experience using Creative Suite on the Macintosh platform working primarily in InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Capable of working on multiple design projects in tandem, using strong organization skills
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Hardworking and successful at working in a team environment

Additional details:
This is an in-person internship, reporting to the Manager, Brand Design. The work schedule requires 12-29 hours per week during office hours. The primary work location will be the Paycom Center in downtown Oklahoma City. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required for occasional local travel. This internship does not provide housing or transportation. This internship position does not guarantee a full-time position with the Thunder upon completion.
