Job description

Graduate Engineer I, Structural
Halff is seeking New Graduates who will graduate in December 2026 or May 2027 for a Graduate Structural Engineer in our Houston, TX, location. This position is for a new graduate interested in working on building and bridge design projects. This position offers an excellent career development opportunity for someone looking to grow with Halff, with potential for not only business and personal growth, but ownership in the firm.
What you will do:
  • Will design part or all of projects such as buildings, hydraulic structures, retaining walls, and vehicular bridges.
  • Will review contractor submittals during construction.
  • Will work under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Will interact with clients as well as in-house engineers and architects.
  • Will provide CAD assistance when necessary.

What you will need:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil/Architectural Engineering with a Structural emphasis - required.
  • Passed FE exam or can within 6 months of starting position.
  • Up to 2 years of experience on Structural projects is a plus.
  • MicroStation, OpenRoads, Revit or Civil 3D training is a plus.
