Location: Irving, TX
Salary: $50.00 USD Hourly - $58.00 USD Hourly
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Engineer-RF - II
Role: RF Engineer
Location: Irving, Texas only. There is no flexibility for other locations.
Work Model: Hybrid, with a mandatory minimum of three days per week in the Irving office (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
Core Responsibilities:
The RF Engineer will support the market engineering team with various tasks related to network performance and design. Daily duties will include:
Creating RFD (Radio Frequency Data sheet) tests and CIQs (Configuration Integration Questionnaires).
Submitting E911 revisions and reviewing EME (Electromagnetic Energy) studies.
Working with traffic engineers to check for capacity triggers and network performance issues.
Collaborating with market engineers, who will serve as leads for the role.
Skill Requirements
The hiring manager emphasized that core RF skills are the priority, while other technical skills are secondary.
Must-Have Skills:
Atoll: Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Atoll is considered "bread and butter" for the role.
RFDS Creation: Experience with creating Radio Frequency Data Sheets is "extremely important".
RF Fundamentals: A strong understanding of RF signal propagation and the wireless environment is a must.
Good-to-Have Skills:
Vendor Experience: Prior experience with Samsung equipment is "extremely beneficial" as the role is in a Samsung market.
Scripting/Coding: While not a priority over RF skills, a background in Python, App Script (Java-based), or SQL is welcome.
Mapping/GIS Tools: Experience with MapInfo, Google Earth, or other GIS tools would be helpful.
Data Visualization: Experience with tools like Tableau for data visualization would be a great asset.
Small Cell Experience: While helpful, experience with the macro layer is easily transferable to the small cell layer.
