Job Description

Position Overview

The Supply Chain Intern will support daily operations within the manufacturing plant's supply chain function. This role involves hands-on experience in procurement, logistics, production planning, and inventory management while contributing to projects that improve efficiency and data accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with tracking inventory levels, conducting cycle counts, and analyzing material variances.
  • Support the Supply Chain team through supplier communication, order tracking, and maintaining purchase documentation.
  • Assist in coordinating the movement of materials between departments to ensure timely production flow.
  • Compile and analyze supply chain data to identify trends, discrepancies, or improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings with production, logistics, and quality.
  • Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and dashboards to support operational decisionmaking.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing waste, improving accuracy, or enhancing workflow efficiency.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Must be currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Operations Management, or a related field at an accredited college or university.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic data analytics tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fastpaced manufacturing environment.
  • Intern must be local to the Auburn or Valparaiso, Indiana location and will work onsite. Relocation is not available for this position.ย
