Who we're looking for:
Wolfspeed is seeking a high potential, resourceful, hands-on, problem solving Product Engineer with the capacity to quickly grasp and resolve a wide range of technical challenges.
The Day-to-Day:
  • Work closely with suppliers and contract manufacturers to qualify and ramp new discrete power devices.
  • Participate in development of new discrete products to meet market needs.
  • Monitor, document, summarize and report on project status to key stakeholders, communicating deliverable progress and product specific risks.
  • Initiate, manage, and participate in projects to improve quality and cost to exceed customer expectations.

This Job is Right for You if You Have:
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering or Materials Science.
  • 5 years Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment troubleshooting equipment, material, or process impact on product quality and yield.
  • In depth knowledge of power packaging, including die attach, wire bonding, molding, test, and burn-in.
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities, independent thinking, attention to detail, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent MS Office skills.
  • High energy, self-motivated attitude with strong communication skills and ability to interface effectively with coworkers of different backgrounds at every level of the company.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of power device reliability testing and failure analysis.
  • Familiarity with JMP, Tableau, or similar software package.
  • Ability to work on several projects simultaneously and demonstrated success in complete process ownership within a 24x7 manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent English language verbal communication, written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Statistical process control experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent overall computer and analytical skills.
