The Engineer Intern will learn engineering tasks working in collaboration with the design team to complement the academic knowledge gained during their course of study. The Engineer will perform routine quality engineering tasks using standard procedures under supervision by a Project Engineer.
Duties Include:
  • Working in collaboration with the design team to assist in the preparation of technical reports, analysis/calculations, and construction documents.
  • Assist with the preparation of permit applications and submittal packages to Agencies having jurisdiction.
  • Coordination with permitting agencies, utility providers, contractors, and other parties associated with the project.
  • Periodic travel to perform site investigations and construction observation.
  • Review of specifications and shop drawings, field observations, preparation of inspection reports, and other construction administration tasks.
  • Research, interpretation, and implementation of relevant codes and client requirements.
  • Implementation and utilization of CPH and client standards and templates.

Requirements:
Education and Experience:
  • B.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering and/or working towards obtaining a B.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • AutoCAD experience is a plus.
  • Ability to exercise critical thinking and good independent judgement.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.
  • Good social, communication, written, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively multitask and work on multiple projects while adhering to project schedules and budgets.
  • Detail-oriented, quality-conscious, reliable, and self-motivated.
  • You must be legally eligible to work in the US
