ADVANCED DATA SCIENCE ASSOCIATE - INTERN
Advanced Data Science Associates (ADSAs) Interns help design, develop and execute high-impact analytics solutions for large, complex, structured and unstructured data sets (including big data) to help clients make better fact-based decisions. At the end of the internship, interns are evaluated and considered for a full-time employment offer.
What You'll Do
  • Develop advanced algorithms that solve problems of large dimensionality in a computationally efficient and statistically effective manner.
  • Execute statistical and data mining techniques (e.g. hypothesis testing, machine learning and retrieval processes) on large data sets to identify trends, figures and other relevant information.
  • Collaborate with clients and other ZS stakeholders to effectively integrate and communicate analysis findings.
  • Contribute to the evaluation of emerging datasets and technologies that may contribute to our analytical platform.

What You'll Bring
  • A master's degree in computer science or statistics (in-progress), and strong academic performance with analytic and quantitative coursework is required.
  • Knowledge of key AI-ML techniques/algorithms/advanced analytics concepts (E.g. Predictive modelling, text mining, recommender systems, social listening, Graph-based-models)
  • Knowledge of Deep Learning and AI Technologies (e.g. LLMs, Gen AI, Deep Learning and Transformers)
  • Familiarity with statistical methods (e.g. Bayesian Learning methods, Causal Modeling) and big data (e.g. PySpark)
  • Proficiency in data manipulation/data wrangling using industry standard tools (e.g SQL, Python-Pandas)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (fluency in English).
  • Strong attention to detail, with a research-focused mindset.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • High motivation, good work ethic and maturity.
