Job Description
Hirani Engineering & Land Surveying is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Land Surveying Intern to join our growing Land Surveying Department. This internship provides hands-on exposure to both field and office surveying operations while offering valuable experience working alongside experienced survey professionals on a wide range of projects throughout New York City and the surrounding region.
This is an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates interested in pursuing a career in land surveying, geomatics, civil engineering, or related fields.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support office staff with processing survey data, drafting, and documentation
  • Assist with preparation of survey drawings, maps, and reports
  • Organize and maintain field notes, project files, and survey records
  • Learn and assist with boundary, topographic, construction, and as-built surveys
  • Utilize survey software, CAD platforms, and related technology under supervision
  • Coordinate with survey technicians, project managers, and field personnel
  • Support quality control efforts to ensure accuracy and completeness of survey deliverables
  • Follow all company safety procedures and field safety requirements
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental operations

Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, Geomatics, Construction Management, or related field
  • Strong interest in land surveying
  • Basic understanding of surveying principles and terminology preferred
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or related software is a plus
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Valid driver's license preferred
