Job description

DeLallo is seeking a dependable and skilled All-Around Handyman to perform a wide range of maintenance, repair, and improvement tasks for residential and/or commercial properties. The ideal candidate has experience in multiple trades, excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general maintenance and repair work, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall, and flooring.
  • Install, repair, and replace fixtures, doors, windows, cabinets, and hardware.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify repair and safety needs.
  • Assemble furniture, equipment, and other fixtures as required.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards and local building codes.
  • Communicate effectively with customers or property managers regarding repairs and project status.
  • Keep accurate records of completed work, materials used, and maintenance schedules.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Proven experience as a handyman, maintenance technician, or similar role.
  • Working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and general repairs.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with HVAC maintenance is a plus.
  • Basic welding or masonry skills are an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.

Work Environment:

  • Work may be performed indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • May require occasional evenings, weekends, or emergency repair calls.
  • Frequent standing, bending, climbing ladders, and lifting heavy materials.
