As a Content Safety & Policy Intern, you will play a vital role in protecting our brand integrity and ensuring a high-quality experience for our global audience. You will work at the intersection of media, policy, and technology, conducting deep-dive research into cultural trends and regulatory shifts. This role is ideal for a proactive researcher who is passionate about internet governance, pop culture, and the nuances of international content standards.

Essential Duties
  • Content Auditing & Risk Assessment: Review original production content to identify potential brand safety concerns. Conduct thematic research to ensure stories align with global safety standards.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Content, Localization, and Editorial Programming teams to perform quality control and safety checks on episodes prior to publication.
  • Policy Research & Intelligence: Track and analyze evolving global trends in censorship, copyright, media law, and internet governance.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Support the policy team by drafting high-impact memos, policy briefs, fact sheets, and weekly trend updates.
  • Socio-Political Monitoring: Stay current on global socio-political events, providing localized analysis on how these events impact content policy across different regions.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Educational Background: Recent graduate or current Senior pursuing a degree in Media Studies, Journalism, Sociology, Community Studies, or a related field.
  • Analytical Mindset: Deep interest in diversity and inclusion, content compliance, and the legalities of the digital landscape.
  • Communication Excellence: Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex policy issues into actionable insights.
  • Cultural Fluency: A strong pulse on pop culture and societal trends within the United States, Latin America, and South Korea.
  • Technical Proficiency: Professional experience with MS Office Suite and SharePoint; ability to adapt quickly to new internal CMS tools.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual proficiency in Korean or Japanese is highly preferred.
