Job description

Weโ€™re a team of engineers, managers, and builders who are grounded, genuine, and committed to keeping our word. We value respect, honesty, and the grit it takes to find a better wayโ€”whether that means rolling up our sleeves, getting our boots dirty, or pushing through challenges to deliver a job well done.

Here, youโ€™ll be trusted to take ownership, contribute your best, and support those around youโ€”just as weโ€™ll support you. We believe in making your time with us meaningful, giving you opportunities to learn, grow, and see the impact of your work on real projects that shape communities. Most importantly, we rely on each other. Our success comes from the people on the frontlines who bring our values and vision to life. When you join us, youโ€™re not just part of a teamโ€”youโ€™re part of something weโ€™re building together, and that connection lasts far beyond the job site.

Role Overview

The Construction Intern supports both the planning and execution phases of concrete construction projects, gaining hands-on experience in formwork design, project estimating, scheduling, and safety tracking. Working alongside project teams, the intern helps resolve design challenges, coordinate materials and resources, and prepare proposals and quantity takeoffs, while also contributing to special assignments and broader project needs.

This internship is designed as a one-on-one learning experience. • Troubleshoots and resolves concerns regarding structural design with project team.
  • Aids in the preparation of quantity surveys, formwork estimates, and project proposals.
  • Assists in coordination of material purchases, deliveries, tracking, and forecasting, ensuring maximum utilization of Cecoโ€™s physical resources.
  • Manages special projects and completes all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • In the process of obtaining a Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree.
  • Some knowledge of AutoCAD and/or BIM Modeling.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Ability to travel and work for an extended period of time on projects outside of office area.

What We Can Offer You:
