Job overview and responsibilities
The Senior Software Developer will play a critical role in modernizing the schedule development process within Network Planning. This role will be responsible for delivering end-to-end cloud-based solutions while also supporting and enhancing existing applications. The ideal candidate will work with enterprise-grade integration technologies, contribute to scalable application design, and help advance the team's technical capabilities.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Full lifecycle development: Participate in and manage all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, documentation, testing,, and support using Agile methodologies.
  • Technical leadership: Serve as a technical expert on development projects. Collaborate with internal employees and vendor partners to plan, design, and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Solution design & architecture: Lead and participate in software design discussions, analyze user needs, define technical requirements, and create technical specifications based on business requirements and conceptual designs.

Application support and maintenance: Support, maintain, and document application functionality; analyze code to identify root causes of issues and implement improvements as needed.
  • Collaboration & prototyping: Partner with business users and technology teams to prototype, refine, test, and debug solutions to ensure applications meet business needs.
  • Innovation: Identify and evaluate emerging technologies for implementation to continually improve system results.

Qualifications
What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems or related field
  • 5-7+ years of experience designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging large-scale distributed applications using Python, Java, or C++, with strong SQL skills.
  • Hands-on experience implementing AWS technologies, including Lambda, Step Functions, CloudWatch, CloudFront, Route 53, ECS, EC2, S3, RDS, API Gateway, and Secrets Manager.
  • Full-Stack development experience, including UI development, APIs, JSON, and XML.
  • Experience with cloud automation and CI/CD tools, such as GitHub, Harness and Artifactory Cloud.
  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented design principles and application development best practices
  • Excellent communication, leadership, data validation, and documentation skills.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
  • Successful completion of an interview is required to meet job qualifications. Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of this position.
