Service Area: Tri-City Area & South Alameda County
Office Location: Fremont, CA
Position Type: Unpaid Internship (Part-Time/Flexible Hours, 12-15 hours weekly). One semester/quarter internship following the academic calendar.
About Right at Home of Fremont
Right at Home of Fremont provides compassionate in-home care services to seniors and adults with disabilities throughout the Tri-City Area and South Alameda County. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for those we serve by delivering exceptional care and meaningful support to families in our community.
Position Overview
The Office Management Intern will learn about and participate in the daily administrative and operational functions of a California-licensed home care agency. This internship provides an enriched, hands-on learning experience in healthcare administration, customer service, scheduling, and office coordination while working alongside experienced professionals. Interns will gain exposure to business operations, strengthen workplace communication and organizational skills, and participate in project-based learning opportunities within a supportive professional environment.
Key Projects & Skill Development in the following areas:
• Answering calls, scheduling, phone intake, and client communication
• Office organization, documentation, and data entry
• Caregiver onboarding and administrative processes
• Customer service support to clients, families, and staff
• Community presentations

  • Weekly check-ins and goal development with internship advisor/mentor
