Cadillac Marin is looking for an Automotive Service Advisor Assistant / Junior Service Advisor to join our growing service team in San Rafael.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with automotive dealership, service department, repair shop, or automotive customer service experience who understands the basics of vehicle maintenance and repair and wants to continue developing their career in a professional luxury dealership environment.
You do not need to be a fully experienced Service Advisor to apply.
We're looking for someone with a basic understanding of automotive service who is comfortable communicating with customers and eager to learn and grow into the Service Advisor role.
Compensation
$20-$22 Per Hour DOE + Incentive Commission Bonuses

What You'll Do
As a Service Advisor Assistant, you'll work alongside the Service Advisors and service department to help provide customers with a smooth and professional service experience.
Responsibilities include:
  • Greet customers and assist with their service needs
  • Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues
  • Assist Service Advisors with customer write-ups and repair orders
  • Help explain recommended maintenance and repairs to customers
  • Assist with preparing estimates and service recommendations
  • Communicate with technicians regarding customer concerns and vehicle status
  • Follow up with customers regarding repairs, approvals, and vehicle completion
  • Help coordinate vehicle flow and service appointments
  • Assist with inspections and basic vehicle assessments
  • Maintain accurate customer and vehicle information in the dealership system
  • Help ensure customers are updated throughout the repair process
  • Assist with scheduling and appointment coordination
  • Support Service Advisors and management as needed
  • Deliver a professional, high-quality customer experience
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is automotive-minded, customer-focused, organized, and eager to learn.
Ideal candidates will have:
  • Previous automotive dealership, service department, repair shop, or automotive customer service experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of automotive maintenance and repair
  • Knowledge of common vehicle services and repairs
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to explain basic automotive information clearly and professionally
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Comfortable using computers and dealership systems

Previous Service Advisor or Service Writer experience is a plus, but not required.
Experience as a Service Advisor Assistant, Service Porter, Technician, Lube Technician, Parts Advisor, Parts Counterperson, Automotive Technician, or other dealership/service department role is encouraged.
Requirements

  • Basic automotive knowledge required
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to work a full-time dealership schedule, including Saturdays
