Job Description

As a Security Officer Entry Management in Plainfield, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. At a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help monitor access points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and support a professional, welcoming presence for employees and visitors. This role blends customer service, communication, and security-related awareness in a fast-moving environment where Allied Universal values agility, reliability, teamwork, and integrity.

Pay Rate: $17.41 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSat02:00 PM - 10:00 PMSun02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and facility personnel by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and shipping-related credentials, and document visitor, vendor, and delivery activity in accordance with location protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, gate areas, trailer yards, and perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access, report unusual activity, and support security-related operations for a busy logistics and distribution location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
