YMCA Internship Program
The YMCA Internship Program provides students and emerging professionals with structured, hands-on learning experiences that support both academic goals and professional development. Interns are placed within YMCA departments to gain practical exposure to nonprofit operations, community engagement, and mission-driven service.
Internships are designed to:
Support the YMCA's mission and strategic goals
Provide meaningful learning aligned with the intern's academic program
Develop professional competencies and leadership skills
Foster a sense of belonging within the YMCA culture
Must pass Level 2 Background Screening. Level 2 is a fingerprint check of state and federal criminal history information conducted through the Florida Department of law Enforcement (FDLE) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). https://info.flclearinghouse.com
Intern candidates who agree to participate in YMCA internships assume responsibilities for learning about the nature of the work of the Y
