The Role:

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (regular business hours)

Reports to: Terminal Operations Manager
Pay Range: Competitive hourly pay
*All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States. No relocation allowance will be considered unless specifically addressed.
Summary / Primary Role:
The position of Quality Control Associate will have primary responsibility to ensure metal product in the shipping and receiving process maintains quality and reliability standards and meets customer expectations while maintaining constant communication with facility personnel including Foreman, Shipping/Receiving office, Forklift drivers, Laborers and Terminal Manager.
What You'll Do:
• Coordinate trucks delivering and picking up materials throughout the warehouse.
• Process shipping, receiving, inventory, container, and LRP documentation.
• Direct forklift operators on the handling and placement of incoming materials.
• Inspect incoming materials for correct product, quantity, destination, and damage.
• Document and report damaged materials, including photographs and communication with drivers, shippers, and consignees.
• Verify LTL load weights and determine appropriate container size and LRP requirements.
• Ensure materials are safely configured and prepared for shipment.
• Immediately report incidents, accidents, damages, or claims to management.
• Follow company safety procedures, required PPE standards, and OSHA regulations.
• Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
What You Bring:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience working in transportation or metals warehousing industry
  • Strong basic math skill
