Description:

We are looking for an Intermodal Specialist who will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the intermodal transportation process. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of logistics operations. This individual will work closely with carriers, clients, and internal teams to ensure smooth and successful transportation execution.


What we are looking for this role to do:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Working with intermodal carriers, building and strengthen relationships, working through day-to-day conflicts while striving to negotiate a positive outcome

· Providing timely and regular tracking updates to Sethmar’s customers

· Entering shipment data into our TMS, ensuring any appointments or ETA’s are approved by our vendors and warehouses to allow efficient loading and unloading

· Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards governing intermodal transportation operations

· Work closely with internal teams such as sales, customer service, and warehouse personal to ensure seamless coordination of shipments and optimize operational efficiency

· Providing excellent customer service to our external and internal teams

Requirements:

What you need to bring to the table:

· 1+ year industry experience within the industry

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work or military experience

· Aptitude to learn new TMS and CRM systems

· Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

· Ability to persuade, motivate, influence, and negotiate with others

· Must be able to think quickly and handle high volume situations

· Excellent time management skills

· Ability to build strong cross-departmental relationships

· Ability to thrive under deadlines, drive results, multi-task and work with a sense of urgency

· Remains positive and flexible in an ever-changing environment with shifting priorities

· Detail oriented with strong prioritization and multi-tasking skills
