Job description

Qualifications & Requirements:
Tig welding required.
Intermediate knowledge of reading, drawings and specifications.
Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
Must be able to communicate in English (both written & oral) as it relates to the job.
Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
Must be willing and able to work extended hours as necessary, and physically able to stand for long periods of time on concrete.
Must process basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication and division.
Must be able and willing to work either 1st or 3rd shift.
Must be able to lift 35 lbs.
Must be able to stand frequently, placing parts on and off of the robot welding machines and into bins.
Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Under the direction of a supervisor and/or experienced welder, responsible for quality parts produced on the TIG and MIG welding machines.
  • Studies and interprets drawings, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and setup requirements.
  • Measures and marks dimensions and reference points on material or work pieces as a guide for subsequent welding.
  • Detects equipment malfunctions or out of tolerance welding and adjusts the machine.
  • Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly; perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment.
  • Within the scope of the job requirements, you will be required to adhere and comply with state and federal law, Company policies, and Safety and Environmental Regulations.
  • May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Prefer to have 2 years of on-the-job experience or trade school equivalent.
