We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Software Engineer to join our Technology team. This role is located in Pittsburgh.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Consult with internal business groups to provide high-level application software development services and technical support.
  • Program well-designed, testable, and efficient code; analyze, design, and develop tests and test-automation suites; develop flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to satisfy requirements and solutions.
  • Maintain software functionality and currency, actively participate in code reviews, integrate software components into fully functional software systems, and apply security and privacy principles.
  • Advise internal business groups and IT management on implementation opportunities, challenges, requirements, emerging technologies, and corporate integration strategies.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
  • 10-14 years of experience in software development required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
  • Thorough knowledge of user-side frontend and backend server-side website development, with intermediate understanding of security principles, relational databases, and architecture design principles.
  • Proficiency in application development toolkits and front end and backend development languages such as C#, Java, HTML, NodeJS, CSS, JSON, Angular, and JavaScript, with experience in application frameworks and containerization.
  • Strong communications, organization, teamwork, and interpersonal skills, with experience mentoring junior engineers and prior lead and consulting experience using structured and vendor-specific methodologies.
