Location: Hamilton or Vaughan ON (Hybrid)
Salary: $90,000 - $120,000
Our client is a well-established consulting engineering firm specializing in the assessment, design, and modernization of mechanical and electrical building systems across Southern Ontario. Their projects focus on improving the performance, reliability, energy efficiency, and sustainability of existing buildings within the public and institutional sectors.

Key Responsibilities As an Intermediate Project Engineer, you will:
  • Manage multiple engineering projects through the full project lifecycle
  • Perform engineering analysis including:

    • Energy modelling and greenhouse gas reduction assessments

    • Mechanical and electrical system design
  • Prepare engineering reports, drawings, specifications, and tender documents
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders
  • Conduct building assessments and recommend practical, energy-efficient solutions
  • Review shop drawings, RFIs, change orders, and contractor submissions
  • Perform site reviews and construction contract administration
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, and deliverables
  • Analyze operational costs and greenhouse gas emissions to support sustainable design solutions
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Ontario
  • Approximately 5+ years of consulting engineering and project management experience
  • Experience with mechanical and electrical building systems
  • Experience delivering retrofit and renovation projects is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Ontario building codes and engineering standards
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Visio
