JOB SUMMARY
We're looking for a Showroom Coordinator to join our team! With organization and attention to detail, the Showroom Coordinator works at the front desk of our showroom and provides excellent service to our customers with a basic understanding of our current products and retail processes. This is a full-time position reporting to the Store Manager and is scheduled during showroom hours (typically 1-2 Saturdays per month and one evening per week). Weekly shifts are typically split between our Middleton and DeForest locations. The Showroom Coordinator is the perfect gateway to building a career in interior design, store operations, customer service, commercial sales, and more!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Greet and assist all customers promptly.
  • Assess customer needs and direct them to the appropriate salesperson.
  • Checkout product samples to customers in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain traffic log and up's system.
  • Process payments and input basic cash and carry orders.
  • Attend product knowledge and in-house training meetings with department heads as required.
  • Ensure showroom clean-up prior to the store opening.
  • Complete front desk closing procedures at the end of the day.
  • Order replacement showroom samples as needed.
  • Update showroom pricing as directed by Store Manager.
  • Assist in accessorizing showroom displays.
  • Assist the Store Manager in organizing samples in the showroom and creating an inviting retail environment.
  • Follow and enforce all safety policies and procedures.

Requirements
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.   • 6+ months of customer service experience in retail, restaurant, hospitality, or other in-person service industry.
  • 6+ months experience with customer management software or application preferred.
  • Education or work experience in interior design preferred.
  • Familiarity with computer applications (email, spreadsheets) through previous work or school experience.
  • Previous work experience using Microsoft Office applications as a daily requirement preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds without restriction and on a regular basis.
  • Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing for training and project updates and to independently handle external and internal requests.
  • Math skills acquired through high school diploma or equivalent to handle customer payments, orders, and related financial transactions
