Job description

At Demco, we believe thoughtfully designed learning spaces change lives. Every library created becomes a hub for curiosity. Every classroom designed becomes a space where students feel seen, supported, and inspired. We’re looking for an Interior Design Supervisor to lead and develop a talented Interior Design team while helping create impactful learning environments for K-12 schools, public libraries, and higher education institutions nationwide.

The Interior Design Supervisor thrives on keeping complex, high-volume workflows organized, contributes meaningfully to the design work itself, and ensures the design team has everything they need to deliver exceptional work for our clients.

As the operational hub of the Interior Design team, you’ll guide designers, manage project workflows, balance team capacity, and help ensure exceptional client experiences. You’ll also contribute directly to strategic design projects, collaborate closely with Sales and Project Management teams, and present innovative solutions to customers.

The ideal candidate is an experienced design professional who can inspire a team, navigate complex projects, and keep high-volume workflows organized and moving efficiently.

Hybrid Preferred | Dane County, WI (Madison) | Remote candidates considered

As Interior Design Supervisor, you will:

  • Use Revit and Enscape to create innovative interior design solutions for schools, libraries, and higher education learning environments
  • Collaborate with Sales and Project Management throughout the project lifecycle—from design to installation
  • Present design solutions virtually and in-person to customers and stakeholders

Qualified Candidates Will Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in interior design
  • 5+ years of professional interior design experience
  • History of strong leadership and coaching capability
  • Advanced Revit skills, including scheduling and family creation
  • Pipeline management experience
  • Data literacy skills: identifies patterns, uses data for decision-making
  • Change management: skilled at introducing new processes
  • Cross-functional communication skills
  • Operational decisiveness: makes assignment and redistribution decisions quickly
  • Passion for creating spaces that serve and strengthen communities
  • Portfolio or work samples demonstrating interior design expertise

Our ideal candidate is a player-coach. You can inspire a team while rolling up your sleeves to tackle complex, strategic projects yourself. You’re confident presenting to decision-makers. You think creatively and execute precisely. You believe that the design of a space can impact how people learn, connect, and thrive.

Candidates must submit a portfolio, work samples, or a link to professional design work for consideration.
