Design Project Focus: High-End Residential & Hospitality

Full-time role with an in-office collaborative working style

We are seeking a creative, thoughtful, and highly driven Senior Interior Designer to join a collaborative and design-forward studio known for delivering exceptional, detail-rich interiors. This is an opportunity to lead meaningful, high-end projects from custom new builds and renovations to select hospitality work while playing a key role in shaping both the work and the studio culture.

In this role, you will lead projects from concept through completion, partnering closely with the Principal and mentoring a Junior Designer. You'll balance big-picture creative vision with deep technical expertise, managing multiple complex projects while maintaining the highest standards of design, documentation, and execution.

The Culture: They are proud of a studio environment that is motivating, happy, collaborative, engaging, and rewarding. They value trust, creativity, and teamwork, and they believe great design happens when talented people feel supported, challenged, and inspired.

What You'll Do

  • Lead all phases of the design process, including concept development, design documentation, project management, and installation
  • Manage multiple high-end projects simultaneously, overseeing timelines, budgets, schedules, and deliverables
  • Create and present detailed design concepts, including AutoCAD drawings, elevations, construction documents, and rendered design boards
  • Source and specify furnishings, finishes, lighting, plumbing fixtures, and materials that align with each client's aesthetic and functional goals
  • Prepare and manage construction documents, specifications, and schedules to support seamless execution
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, builders, consultants, and vendors, ensuring clear communication and alignment
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and design integrity
  • Mentor and guide junior designers by delegating work, offering feedback, and supporting professional growth
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, showrooms, and artisans, while staying current on industry trends and materials

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in a high-end residential design firm with strong technical and experiential knowledge of the design and construction process.
  • Proficiency in SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office.
  • Experience with Ivy, Studio Designer, or similar project management software is preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of interior design standards, historical references, architectural styles and detailing, custom cabinetry and furniture design, upholstery and drapery design and specifications, and lighting layout and design.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.

If you're an experienced designer ready to take ownership of impactful projects while growing within a supportive, high-performing team, we'd love to hear from you.
