Are you an experienced Interior Designer who enjoys transforming commercial spaces and leading projects from concept through completion?

Our client is seeking a Senior Interior Designer to join their Richmond, VA team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of commercial interior design projects across corporate, healthcare, higher education, transportation, and government environments.

This role is ideal for a design professional who can combine creative vision, technical expertise, project leadership, and strong client relationshipsβ€”with the opportunity to grow into a management position.


What You'll Do

  • Lead commercial interior design projects from programming and space planning through construction administration
  • Develop innovative, functional, and client-focused interior design solutions
  • Conduct and oversee field verification and existing-condition documentation
  • Lead the development and coordination of construction documents
  • Direct finish, material, and furniture selections
  • Prepare and lead client presentations
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders
  • Oversee construction administration and respond to project-related issues
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
  • Contribute to business development, client retention, and repeat-project opportunities
  • Mentor and support junior interior designers and help develop the next generation of design talent
