Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and creative Kitchen & Bath Designer to join a premier custom cabinetry and residential design team. This role is ideal for a design professional who excels at blending creativity, functionality, and client service while delivering exceptional kitchen and bath solutions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating custom kitchen and bath designs, managing client consultations, overseeing cabinetry selections, and driving sales growth through strong relationships with homeowners, interior designers, contractors, and industry professionals. This position offers significant earning potential through a competitive commission structure and the opportunity to work with high-end custom residential projects.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design functional, innovative, and visually compelling kitchen and bath spaces tailored to each client's needs and lifestyle.
  • Create detailed design plans, layouts, specifications, and cabinetry solutions using industry-standard design software.
  • Consult with homeowners, interior designers, architects, builders, and contractors to understand project goals and requirements.
  • Guide clients through the selection process, including cabinetry styles, finishes, hardware, storage solutions, and design features.
  • Manage the full project lifecycle from initial consultation through design approval and final order placement.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with trade professionals and referral partners.
  • Support local marketing and business development initiatives to generate new client opportunities.
  • Collaborate with project management and construction teams to ensure designs align with project budgets, schedules, and client expectations.
  • Track project progress, maintain documentation, and ensure a seamless customer experience throughout the sales and design process.

Required Qualifications
Experience
  • Proven experience in Kitchen & Bath Design, preferably within custom residential construction or luxury home environments.
  • Demonstrated success designing and selling custom cabinetry solutions.
  • Experience working directly with homeowners, builders, architects, and interior designers.

Cabinetry Expertise
  • Strong understanding of cabinetry construction, design principles, and space planning.
  • Clear knowledge of the differences between custom, semi-custom, and stock cabinetry.
  • Experience working with fully custom cabinetry solutions is strongly preferred.

Sales & Customer Service
  • Strong consultative sales skills with the ability to build trust and guide clients through significant design investments.
  • Exceptional customer service and relationship management abilities.
  • Comfortable working toward sales goals and business development objectives.

Technical Skills
  • Proficiency with kitchen and bath design software, CAD programs, and related drafting tools.
