POSITION:         Administrative Assistant III - Office of the Trial Court Administrator

Position Number 009468

LOCATION:         St. Lucie County Courthouse, Fort Pierce, Florida

  Position also travels to other locations within the Circuit.

  Applicants must reside within the Circuit or be willing to relocate in order to be considered for employment.

 

SALARY:                 $48,442.20 annually / Full-Time; Benefits Package Available; FRS Retirement

General Description

This is a high-trust position requiring sound judgment, professionalism, and strict confidentiality in supporting executive leadership. Responsibilities include administrative, project coordination, and clerical functions requiring discretion, confidentiality, initiative, professionalism, and independent judgment. Duties include coordinating calendars, meetings, travel, correspondence, records management, special projects, and administrative operations, while serving as a liaison with court staff, judicial officers, government agencies, and the public. The position works independently under the direction of the Trial Court Administrator.

Education, Experience, Certifications and Special Requirements

Education - Bachelor's degree. Additional relevant experience may substitute for the recommended educational level on a year-for-year basis.

 

Experience - Three years of work experience in business administration, office skills, or related field. Additional relevant education may substitute for the recommended experience on a year-for-year basis.

 

Certification and Special Requirements -Valid Florida State Driver's License required.

 

Preferred Qualifications:  Experience providing high-level administrative support to executive leadership or attorneys; experience working in a court, legal, or government environment; advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, and Excel; excellent written communication and editing skills, including the ability to prepare professional correspondence and reports; Florida Notary Public certification; demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.
