Job description

Position Description: We are looking for a Senior Interior Designer who is a creative thinker and design leader. Our approach is to produce highly differentiated designs for every project, so being a good leader to the client and team through a collaborative approach is essential. You will be responsible for leading the team and executing at a high level from programming through project completion, combining your design and technical expertise. Strong communication and presentation skills are needed to engage with the client and become their trusted advisor. As a Senior Interior Designer, you will also be responsible for creating a project work plan for the interior scope, including scope definition, staffing, Interior budget analysis, client and consultant contracts, documentation of client goals and expectations, internal and consultant team management, fee proposals, additional services requests when appropriate, and monitoring project profitability. Senior Interior Designers exhibit leadership both within OZ and outside of OZ to achieve project goals on behalf of the client, OZ, and our staff. They serve as a resource to the team and regularly monitor project progress, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure all project goals are met. Mentorship and development of junior staff are imperative for the success of the project and the firm.Experience in higher education and workplace is preferred for this current position.Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or equivalent and ten (10+) years of interior design experience.
NCIDQ certification preferred.
