What does an interior decorator do?

An Interior Decorator focuses on enhancing the aesthetic appeal and functionality of interior spaces by selecting color schemes, furniture, fabrics, lighting, and accessories. They work closely with clients to understand their style preferences and budget, then create cohesive and inviting environments. Familiarity with design software like AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Adobe Creative Suite, as well as knowledge of textiles and materials, is typically required. Excellent communication, creativity, and attention to detail are crucial soft skills for understanding client needs and delivering unique solutions. These skills ensure that decorators can create aesthetically pleasing, functional spaces tailored to client preferences and project requirements.

How does an interior decorator typically collaborate with clients and other professionals during a project?
