Job Overview

Superior Home Products Inc. is hiring a Carpenter / Remodeler to support residential kitchen, bathroom, and home renovation projects in the Memphis area.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in clean, professional work inside occupied homes. Our focus is interior remodeling, including kitchens, bathrooms, trim, framing modifications, drywall repairs, cabinet support, finish carpentry, and punch list completion. Exterior repair experience is helpful, but this role is primarily centered around residential remodeling and client-focused renovation work.

This is a good fit for someone who can work safely, communicate clearly, document progress daily, and help deliver a professional client experience from start to finish.

Who We Are

Superior Home Products Inc. is a 30-year residential construction and remodeling company with deep community roots in Memphis. We are a stable, established brand with a solid backlog and a commitment to paying our team reliably.

Under new, growth-focused leadership, we are merging old-school craftsmanship with modern processes, technology, and accountability. Our mission is to replace chaos with clarity, burnout with balance, and outdated processes with efficient, digital-first operations. As we scale, we are building a professional team that values structure, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Core Responsibilities

  • Kitchen, Bath & Interior Remodeling
  • Perform interior carpentry and remodeling work on kitchens, bathrooms, additions, and home renovation projects.
  • Complete framing repairs, light framing modifications, blocking, backing, and structural prep as directed.
  • Install and adjust doors, windows, casing, baseboard, crown, trim, shelving, and finish details.
  • Support cabinet installation, cabinet adjustments, vanity installation, hardware installation, and punch work.
  • Perform drywall patching, repair prep, backing, blocking, and small finish repairs as needed.
  • Assist with demolition, protection, site prep, and cleanup in occupied homes.
  • Complete punch list items accurately and professionally.
  • Jobsite Documentation & Communication
  • Complete daily JobTread updates.
  • Upload daily progress photos.
  • Add clear notes on completed work, blockers, material needs, and jobsite issues.
  • Mark assigned tasks complete when finished.
  • Communicate schedule risks, customer concerns, missing materials, or scope issues quickly.
  • Keep the Project Manager / Project Coordinator informed so the office is not guessing what happened in the field.
  • Jobsite Standards
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized jobsites.
  • Protect client homes, flooring, furniture, driveways, and work areas.
  • Work professionally around homeowners, family members, pets, and occupied spaces.
  • Follow daily task lists and company procedures.
  • Coordinate respectfully with other employees, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Exterior Carpentry - As Needed
  • Perform siding, trim, fascia, soffit, deck, porch, and exterior rot repairs when assigned.
  • Support weatherproofing, flashing, and exterior repair work as needed.
  • Exterior experience is valuable, but the primary focus of this role is kitchen, bathroom, and interior remodeling.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on residential remodeling, carpentry, or renovation experience.
  • Demonstrated experience working on kitchen and bathroom remodeling projects.
  • Experience with interior remodeling work such as trim, framing repairs, drywall repair, doors, cabinets, vanities, blocking, backing, and punch work.
  • Ability to support cabinet installation, vanity installation, finish trim, bath accessories, hardware, and final detail work.
  • Ability to work independently after receiving clear direction.
  • Ability to use a smartphone or tablet for daily JobTread photos, notes, and task updates.
  • Professional conduct when working in occupied homes.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation strongly preferred.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work safely in active construction settings.
  • Must be dependable, coachable, and willing to follow company systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cabinet installation, cabinet adjustment, vanity installation, and finish trim experience.
  • Tile prep, blocking, backing, shower accessory installation, or bath accessory installation experience.
  • Ability to read basic scopes of work, measurements, and simple plans.
  • Exterior repair experience, including siding, trim, fascia, soffit, deck, or porch repairs.
  • OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Experience using job documentation apps/software such as JobTread, Buildertrend, CompanyCam, or similar.

Daily Documentation Requirement

Superior Home Products uses JobTread to manage projects, schedules, communication, and documentation.

Daily updates are required. This includes:

  • Progress photos
  • Notes on completed work
  • Material needs
  • Jobsite issues or blockers
  • Task completion updates
