As a Designer I at Ware Malcomb, you will support the Project Manager or Interior Designer in the delivery of innovative design projects. You will assist in multiple aspects of the architecture and interior design process, including but not limited to design and documentation across all project phases, preparation of materials and presentations, and support during construction administration activities. This position is ideal for entry-level or junior designers looking to deepen their industry knowledge and gain exposure to various stages of project execution while working under the guidance of experienced professionals.
Your Role
  • Assist in AutoCAD and Revit support for the preparation of project documents
  • Actively support compliance with Studio BIM/CAD project standards and procedures
  • Assist in the production of graphics through use of 3D renderings and computer illustrations
  • Assist in graphic formatting and mood boards for client presentations using Studio Templates
  • Collaborate with team to suggest finishes, fixtures, and furniture for projects
  • Support design, documentation, and assembly from Space Planning concept through the Construction
  • Develop appropriate construction drawing techniques
  • Coordinate specifications with drawings to meet project requirements
  • Assist in the drafting of space planning concepts and creation of program documents
  • Assist the Design lead in meetings with consultants, furniture dealers, product reps, and fabricators to meet overall project objectives
  • Assist with submittals during the construction administration phase
  • Communicate with industry partners and Ware Malcomb employees
  • Assist with vendor interface and library resources and organization
  • Actively support compliance with file and information storage

Qualifications
  • 1+ years' experience in Interior Architecture & Design
  • Bachelor's degree or technical degree/certificate in an accredited Interior Design, Architecture, or Interior Architecture related program
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to create components of presentation packages
  • Understanding what information will need to be presented to a client with the guidance of your supervisor
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
  • Ability to work with your team members to solve problems involving multiple options
  • Requires basic knowledge of financial terms and principles
  • Understanding and application of design principles, theories, color and materials

$25 - $30 an hour

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, licensing, project specialty/complexity and work location. We may exceed the posted compensation range for candidates who surpass the posted requirements. At Ware Malcomb, certain roles are bonus eligible.
