Job description

We are looking for a Senior Interior Designer with experience coordinating hospitality, commercial, and/or luxury residential projects. An Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design is required. A minimum of 10 years working at a fast-paced design firm is required. You must have excellent organization, time management, team management, and multitasking skills, with the ability to change course several times daily. If you have command of current design trends, enjoy working directly with clients, can accurately detail and assess budgets, and get the job done on time without micromanagement, we want to hear from you.

Compensation:

$60,000+


Responsibilities:
  • Lead a design team and design processes, including coordination and delegation of tasks to complete a project on time and in budget

  • Communicate clearly and eloquently with Clients and have the ability to handle delicate situations

  • Ensure all selections and drawings are functionally, financially, and aesthetically appropriate, including but not limited to furnishings, fabric, tile, paint, lighting, hardware, etc.

  • Prepare and review detailed quotes and estimates, and revise as needed

Other Responsibilities

  • Work some evenings and weekends, as needed

  • Handle stressful, urgent, and diverse work situations daily

  • Track hours attributable to each project to assess profitability

  • Attend team meetings or other meetings, as required

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

  • Some travel may be required

  • Oversee installations as needed


Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field

  • Minimum of 10 years working at a fast-paced design firm

  • Luxury residential or hospitality experience required

  • Microsoft Office Suite high proficiency required

  • High proficiency in AutoCAD drafting of floor plans, elevations, tile, and cabinetry drawings

  • Exceptional English written and verbal communication skills

  • Works well in a team atmosphere; flexible
