Job description

Position Summary

Delta Health is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Interface Analyst to support, maintain, and enhance system integrations across the organization. This role is responsible for supporting the exchange of clinical and financial data between multiple electronic health record (EHR) platforms including Athena, Meditech, WebPT, PACS imaging systems, laboratory information systems (LIS), and external vendor solutions.

The Interface Analyst will design, build, test, implement, and support interfaces using a variety of integration tools and technologies. This position plays a key role in supporting current integration platforms while contributing to future integration strategies and technology decisions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, build, test, implement, and support system interfaces using integration platforms, interface engines, and related tools.
  • Support integrations involving clinical and financial data including patient demographics, ADT, orders, results, charges, coding, assessments, and related transactions.
  • Maintain and enhance interfaces between EHR systems, PACS, LIS, revenue cycle systems, and external vendor applications.
  • Monitor interface queues, error logs, and system alerts to proactively identify and resolve data exchange issues.
  • Serve as a technical liaison between vendors, IT teams, clinical stakeholders, and business users regarding integration projects and interface support.
  • Participate in integration planning and provide recommendations related to interface architecture, data exchange methods, and integration tooling.
  • Support and maintain multiple integration platforms and assist with evaluation or transition efforts as technologies evolve.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to troubleshoot and resolve urgent interface or data exchange issues outside normal business hours.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA privacy and security requirements related to system integrations and data exchange.
  • Collaborate with application analysts, infrastructure teams, and clinical/business departments to support operational and patient care needs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for interface configurations, workflows, troubleshooting procedures, and testing activities.
  • Contribute technical documentation to the organizational knowledge base.
  • Assist in developing functional specifications, interface designs, and test plans.
  • Write and maintain scripts or code of easy to moderate complexity to support integrations and data exchange.
  • Participate in unit testing, end-to-end testing, and go-live support for new or modified interfaces.
  • May lead small integration projects or system enhancements under managerial guidance.
  • Implement and support secure file transfer methods including FTP/SFTP and other batch or real-time integration methods.
  • Utilize scripting, automation, and integration utilities to support data exchange initiatives.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills while effectively communicating with technical and non-technical users.
  • Support Delta Health's mission through collaboration, excellent customer service, and commitment to continuous quality improvement.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Associate degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field required; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field preferred.

Experience

  • Two to three years of experience supporting interfaces, integrations, or system interoperability in a multi-system healthcare environment preferred.
  • Experience working with interface engines, integration platforms, or healthcare data exchange tools preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of system integration concepts, data exchange processes, and basic networking principles.
  • Experience with healthcare integration standards such as HL7.
  • Familiarity with delimited, fixed-width, XML, or similar data formats.
  • Basic programming or scripting experience using interface engines, scripting languages, or integration utilities.
  • Experience supporting secure file transfer methods (FTP/SFTP).
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • General understanding of clinical and financial healthcare workflows preferred.
