Job description

As aUIEngineer atIntapp, you'llwork on an AI-powered, industry-specific cloud platform that transforms professional and financial services firms. Collaborating with other senior engineers, technical leads, product managers, and designers, you'llhave ample mentorship opportunities for skills development and career progression. You'llbe part of an innovative team working on Celeste - an AI-as-a-Service platform, designed to handle complex, long-running tasks across CRMs, data products, and workflow automation.

Collaborating with engineers, product managers, and UX designers, you'llcreate and maintainthe frontend foundation for one ofIntapp'smost visible products-defining how it's built, ensuring quality and consistency at scale, and enabling the design team to move fast without breaking things.

Whatyou'lldo

  • Evaluate the current state of UI implementation across the product andidentifyopportunities to improve quality, consistency, and maintainability at scale
  • Assess the long-term suitability of the current frontend stack (React,shadcn/ui, Tailwind CSS) and make recommendations for how it evolves as the product grows
  • Develop mechanisms that enforceUI standardsprogrammatically, ensuring established patterns are followed and that new developmentdoesn'tintroduce visual or structural drift
  • Design and build a reusablecomponentlibrary and set of common page templates that teams can rely on for rapid, consistent UI development
  • Build UI for AI-driven product surfaces-including agentic workflows, dynamic outputs, and experiences that adapt to model-generated content-and develop the patterns and components that make these repeatable across the product
  • Develop andmaintaintooling and infrastructure that allows UX designers to prototype andvalidateUI changes independently, without requiring engineering involvement for every iteration
  • Partner with designers to unblock their workflows, resolve tooling issues, and expand what they can build autonomously
  • Implement high-quality UI features on an ongoing basis, using the standards, components, and patterns you establish

What you will need

  • 3+years of frontend development experience, with a strong focus onNext.jsand TypeScript
  • Experience building UI for AI-powered products-you understand the unique challenges of designing and implementing interfaces around model-generated, dynamic, or agentic outputs
  • Hands-on experience building ormaintaininga design system orcomponentlibrary in a production SaaS environment
  • Deep familiarity withshadcn/uiand Tailwind CSS, including how to extend and govern them at scale
  • Proficiencywith AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, or similar) as part of your daily engineering practice
  • Comfort working across the design/engineering boundary-you can talk tokens and accessibility with a designer and reviewcomponentarchitecture with an engineer
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar)
  • Strong opinions about UI architecture-and the communication skills to build consensus around them
  • You are a team player. You collaborate effectively with designers, engineers, and product managers, and you enjoy that process
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience
