We are especially interested in applications from colleagues with a Ph.D. in American Studies or another appropriate interdisciplinary field who has an active record of undergraduate and graduate teaching, advising, and program-building in an American Studies department, as well as demonstrated experience in and commitment to the public humanities.

The teaching expectation is normally four courses per academic year, plus service to the program, including teaching in an undergraduate core course and advising graduate students.
