RPA Engineer - UiPath Developer / Agentic AI Engineer
Location: Remote Role
Compensation: $45 - $60 per hour
Contract Type: Ongoing Contract

ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is seeking an experienced RPA Engineer / UiPath Developer with a passion for intelligent automation and Agentic AI technologies. In this fully remote, ongoing contract role, you will design, develop, support, and enhance enterprise automation solutions that modernize complex business processes and improve operational efficiency. This position goes beyond traditional RPA development, requiring expertise in integrating AI-powered decision-making, Large Language Models (LLMs), intelligent document processing, and autonomous workflow orchestration. You will be part of a team actively investing in Agentic AI capabilities, and should be comfortable discussing UiPath architecture, enterprise automation strategy, AI-assisted workflows, and software development concepts outside of the UiPath platform. The ideal candidate is innovative, eager to shape the future of enterprise automation, and able to clearly explain how intelligent agents, AI technologies, and modern automation approaches can enhance business operations.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Design, develop, test, and implement UiPath automation solutions for enterprise business processes
  • Build and maintain attended, unattended, and scheduled automations using UiPath Studio, Studio Web, Orchestrator, and related technologies
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable automation solutions
  • Develop enterprise-grade workflows with exception handling, logging, monitoring, auditing, and operational support capabilities
  • Create reusable automation components, libraries, templates, and frameworks
  • Integrate UiPath solutions with databases, APIs, document management systems, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications
  • Monitor bot performance, troubleshoot production issues, and optimize automation reliability and efficiency
  • Support testing, deployment, maintenance, and ongoing enhancement of automation solutions
  • Develop technical documentation, workflow diagrams, and support materials
  • Implement secure automation practices aligned with cybersecurity, compliance, and governance standards
  • Participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, and enterprise automation strategy initiatives
  • Design and implement Agentic AI solutions utilizing UiPath Autopilot, AI Center, Document Understanding, Communications Mining, and Generative AI capabilities
  • Develop AI-powered agents capable of contextual reasoning, autonomous decision-making, and multi-step task execution within established governance controls
  • Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs), AI services, and intelligent document processing technologies into automation workflows
  • Build human-in-the-loop processes combining AI-driven automation with employee review and approval workflows
  • Develop solutions capable of processing unstructured data, including emails, forms, documents, and other communications
  • Implement prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI orchestration, and intelligent automation patterns
  • Ensure responsible AI practices, including transparency, auditability, security, compliance, and bias mitigation
  • Evaluate emerging AI and automation technologies to improve business operations and service delivery
  • Assist in developing governance standards and best practices for enterprise Agentic AI implementations
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field
  • 2+ years of hands-on UiPath development experience (Studio, Orchestrator, Robot deployment)
  • 4+ years of experience in software development, automation engineering, application support, or IT operations
  • Strong understanding of UiPath architecture and enterprise automation design principles
  • Experience integrating AI, LLMs, intelligent automation, or Agentic AI into automation solutions
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language outside UiPath (e.g., Python, C#, VB.NET, JavaScript, PowerShell)
  • Experience with APIs, SQL databases, and backend integrations
  • Familiarity with UiPath Studio, StudioX, Studio Web, Orchestrator, AI Center, Action Center, and Document Understanding
  • Knowledge of REFramework and enterprise RPA design patterns
  • Experience with OCR technologies and intelligent document processing
  • Understanding of REST/SOAP API integrations and cloud platforms
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to participate in live coding assessments and technical interviews
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Commitment to responsible AI practices, including transparency, auditability, security, compliance, and bias mitigation
  • Experience with ServiceNow, Zendesk, or similar support platforms is a plus
  • Demonstrated passion for innovation, emerging technologies, and digital transformation in enterprise automation
